MASTERIS supports HEXAFRET in maintaining ERTMS/KVB operational conditions on BB27000 trains
Since the end of 2024, MASTERIS has been maintaining the ERTMS/KVB system installed on the 12 BB27000 locomotives on behalf of HEXAFRET. This contract, drawn up in close collaboration with SNCF Voyageurs' Centre d'Ingénierie du Matériel (CIN), illustrates MASTERIS' ability to mobilize cutting-edge technical expertise to meet the needs of its freight customers.
Customized support
In order to guarantee continuity of operations at the end of the equipment warranty period, HEXAFRET called on MASTERIS to structure a complete MCO offer. This is based both on MASTERIS' in-house skills and on the services already offered by the CIN.
The services that make up the MCO are as follows:
- ERTMS/KVB equipment maintenance
- Remote technical assistance
- Parts maintenance and logistics
- Updating maintenance documentation
- ERTMS/KVB training for freight agents
- Maintenance of tools and software for ERTMS/KVB equipment maintenance
- Maintaining the SI software tool for processing fault codes
- Maintenance of monitoring and measurement tools/software in the event of a major malfunction
- Engineering and reliability services
- Analysis of feedback on BB27000s and proposals for improving reliability
- Monthly working groups to identify and implement reliability improvement actions
- Organization of quarterly FMDS reviews (Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, Safety)
- Obsolescence tracking
A long-term mission
The contract runs until the end of 2027, with an option for reliability work groups in 2026 and 2027. It is a long-term contract, designed to optimize the performance of the ERTMS/KVB system over the long term.
By mobilizing its expertise in contract management, maintenance engineering and customer-supplier interface, MASTERIS is strengthening its role as a benchmark technical partner for rail freight operators.
